Good Faith Estimate
Last updated: March 1, 2026
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of the expected cost of services.
As a private-pay counseling practice, we do not bill insurance directly. If you are not using insurance benefits, you are entitled to receive a written Good Faith Estimate outlining the anticipated cost of your counseling services before your first appointment, or at any time upon request.
Your Good Faith Estimate will include the cost per session and an estimate of the total cost of services based on the information available at the time it is provided. Because counseling is individualized and the length of treatment varies, the total cost estimate is based on your specific treatment plan and goals.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges.
You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services or at any point during treatment. To request your estimate or to ask questions, please contact us at +1 (206) 759-7081 or zoe@elyracounseling.com.
